Angel’s Movie Diaries: The First Flick – A Cat’s Cinematic Awakening

Angel’s Movie Diaries: Paws Off My Popcorn – Angel Watches The Secret Life of Pets

Collage featuring poster of The Secret Life of Pets and our in-house critic, Angel.

Dear readers (and fellow feline film critics),

I curled up on the sofa, hoping for a nap, but instead got pulled into a wild ride of barking, bouncing, and pet mayhem. Yes, we watched The Secret Life of Pets. As a house cat with dignity, I had… thoughts.

First Impressions

Too many dogs. Far too many. But I must admit, Chloe the cat is a queen. Her sass? 10/10. Her appetite? Relatable. I meowed in agreement more than once.

Best Moment

There was a chase involving sausages. I don’t even like sausages — but I was invested. Maybe even hypnotized. Maybe.

Worst Moment

Snowball the rabbit. Why so loud? I flicked my tail every time he screamed. Drama much?

Angel’s Official Rating

Tail Flick – Fun in parts, but not enough naps and way too much barking.

Watch With:

  • A snack (preferably tuna-flavored)
  • A blanket to hide under during dog scenes
  • Low expectations if you’re a cat

That’s it for now, fluffballs. I’ll be back next Saturday with another review (unless I get distracted by a laser dot).

Stay sassy,
