Cinema Odyssey Returns: My Journey as an Author

Cinema Odyssey Returns: My Journey as an Author

When I first created Cinema Odyssey, it was about movies — a place to share my love for stories on the big screen. But over time, something changed. My own stories started taking shape. What began as notes and ideas grew into full books, and slowly, Cinema Odyssey transformed along with me.

Now, I’m bringing this space back with a new focus: my journey as an author.

Here, I’ll share:

  • Updates on my books: Mothers: When Help Becomes Threat, The Mirror Room, Bleed Better, and the upcoming The Whisper Cage (pre-order it now on your favorite digital store!).
  • Insights into the writing process — the struggles, small victories, and lessons learned along the way.
  • Occasional reflections on the overlap between cinema and literature, and how both inspire my storytelling.

This blog won’t be about daily posts or overloading you with content. Instead, think of it as a journal you can drop into every now and then, to see what’s new, what’s coming, and how the journey is unfolding.

Stories have always been at the heart of Cinema Odyssey. Now, those stories are my own. And I’m excited to take you along for the ride.

Stay tuned — the best is yet to come.

Abdul Quddus is the creator of Cinema Odyssey, a writing platform exploring the intersection of cinema, psychology, and storytelling. What began as a film-focused blog has evolved into a space for author notes, essays, and original psychological fiction shaped by cinematic language and atmosphere. His work explores themes of identity, belief, control, obsession, and the quiet breakdowns of the human mind, with stories designed to feel as though they belong both on the page and on screen.
